On 18 June 2025, the Slovenian national event of the ASAP project took place in a hybrid format, with participants gathering in Maribor and many others joining online.
The event focused on sharing results and building synergies with several other EU projects, including Fem-Up, Be-Well, Game4Change, Ecosy4you, and SMART. The overarching theme was women’s entrepreneurship, enriched with insights from
projects dealing with education, digital well-being, and innovation.
The programme was divided into two main sessions. The first, titled “Together for the well-being and safe digital future of children and adolescents,” presented the results of the ASAP and Be-Well projects to stakeholders from Slovenian primary
and secondary schools, including principals, teachers, counsellors, as well as representatives of decision-makers such as the Ministry of Education. The ASAP project, led by Dr. Marko Divjak, introduced materials and resources designed to help pre-adolescents use the internet and social media safely and responsibly. The Be-Well project, led by Dr. Živa Veingerl Čič, focused on strengthening well-being and mental health among secondary school students.
The second part of the programme featured a round table discussion titled “Fostering Innovation through Start-up Mentorship, Digital Engagement, Emotional Resilience, and Family Empowerment.” A diverse group of experts from Malta, Croatia, Montenegro and Slovenia contributed to the discussion. From DOBA Business School, Slovenia, the panel featured Dr. Marina Letonja, professor of entrepreneurship and leader of the projects BASE, Game4Change, and Ecosy4you,
Dr. Marko Divjak, expert in positive psychology and head of the ASAP project, and Dr. Živa Veingerl Čič, human resources expert and coordinator of the Be-Well project.

The discussion was moderated by Mateja Geder, Head of the Project Office and International Cooperation at DOBA Business School and coordinator of the FEM-Up and SMART projects.
The round table not only addressed external challenges to entrepreneurship but also focused on internal strategies that are essential for long-term success, such as developing a resilient mindset and maintaining emotional balance. Speakers underlined the importance of self-confidence, passion, and loyalty to personal values as key drivers of innovation. They also highlighted the need for a healthy digital presence, encouraging an approach to online platforms that supports mental health, protects personal boundaries, and aligns with individual values.
The event showed the added value of connecting different EU projects, as their combined expertise and perspectives provide richer solutions, greater impact, and stronger support for both individuals and communities. By finding synergies across initiatives, projects can complement each other and ensure that good practices spread more widely.
